Voting is now open for £eith Chooses 2021.

Please follow this link to the voting site and cast your four votes.

There are so many brilliant projects that need your support!

Countdown to voting…3,2,1!

Steps to Voting:

  •  Read through the short descriptions of all the projects
  •  Note the four you want to vote for (to include at least one from those marked as ‘Qualifies for a  Boost Vote’);
  •  On or after 25th January, go to the voting site www.edinburgh.gov.uk/voteleithchooses
  •  Register with your postcode and email address;
  •  Follow the prompts and place your 4 votes;
  •  Click to submit.

If you’ve already read  through the projects and selected those you wish to vote for, then actual voting will only take you a few minutes.

If you haven’t yet read about the projects, you will still be able to see the information here and/or on the voting website, after registering.

You have a whole week to get round to this- but PLEASE don’t leave it to the last minute….

Who can vote?

Am I allowed to vote in £eith Chooses?

  • Yes, if you  live, or work, or study (go to school or college), or volunteer regularly in Leith
  • And if you are 8 years old or over.

When you go to the voting site, you will be asked for your email address and your postcode, so have these ready.

If you live in Leith you should know your postcode, but if you work or study or volunteer in Leith you may need to check in advance and note the postcode of the building where you go for this.

What counts as Leith?

Anything within the black line on this map.

Applications to £eith Chooses 2020/21 are now closed – thank you to all who submitted. We are currently validating the applications. Once this process is complete, soon after Christmas, you will be able to see a ‘gallery’ on this website of all the projects that are seeking funding, and you can start thinking about who you want to vote for (you can only vote once, but you get 4 votes).

If you are an applicant, it is your job to alert all your members and followers to your application, and make sure they know how, and when, to vote for your project.

Voting week will open on 25th January 2021 – we will give you plenty of reminders and information about how to vote.

Your community project might be able to ‘win’ a grant of up to £5,000  from £eith Chooses 2021. Go for it! Apply now! Pass the word around!

Applications close – 11th December 2020.

Projects showcased online – December 2020- January 2021.

Voting (online only)  – between 25th and 31 January 2021.

Awards – announced early February 2021, and money into your bank account after that, as soon as the paperwork is through.

£eith Chooses is LIVE!

There is £46,102 available for community projects in Leith, to be allocated in January / February 2021 by democratic vote – the local community will vote online for the projects they would like to see funded.

Apply now if you are a constituted group with a bank account and a good idea for a 6 month community project (up to £5,000) that matches the following theme(s), download a form here.
