What is the process?
- Reflect on the 2025-2026 theme: Well-being in Leith
- Think about what kind of project your organisation would like to offer to the community, within this theme.
- Read the 2025-2026 Application Form and Guidance Notes
- We welcome your applications using our new online form at edinburgh.gov.uk/applyleithchooses. If you would like access to the application form in a different format, please contact us via leithchooses@edinburgh.gov.uk or 07743 167 340. Be sure to also download and read the LeithChooses guidance notes, to check if your project is eligible, and to guide you in putting together your application. You can also read additional guidance and a sample application form from Edinburgh Council.
- Formulate your community project and calculate its budget. Remember the limit is £5,000.
- Consult partners, if appropriate. Remember that two or more groups may form a partnership, to best deliver a project that meets the theme.
- Seek support with your application from the LeithChooses team, if you want. Contact leithchooses@edinburgh.gov.uk.
- Write and submit your application, remembering to attach required documents (constitution, evidence of bank account, photos etc: see the Guidance Notes and Application form)
